Locke: What do you suppose is in that cocoon, Charlie?
Charlie: I don’t know. A butterfly, I guess.
Locke: No. it’s much more beautiful than that. That’s a moth cocoon. It’s ironic, butterflies get all the attention but moths, they spin silk. They’re stronger, faster…
Charlie: That’s wonderful, but…
Locke: You see this little hole? This moth’s just about to emerge. It’s in there right now, struggling. It’s digging its way through the thick hide of the cocoon. Now, I could help it. Take my knife, gently widen the opening and the moth would be free. But it would be too weak to survive. Struggle is nature’s way of strengthening it.

I feel like now is a good time to post this.
My WoW guild, Kor’Kron Warband, finally got Blood-Queen Lana’thel down tonight. Several guilds were competing for server 2nd and had her down <10%, but we got it! I didn’t get the staff for my druid that I wanted, but I am really happy with our progress this week. Except for Blood-Queen, we one-shot everything else in ICC this week including Professor Putricide.
Also, some of you may vaguely remember me saying I was quitting WoW forever many many months ago, and well, as you can see that didn’t happen. I was serious about it at the time though! Then I got into playing my druid, got into some Naxx 25 alt runs when my guild was progressing through Ulduar, one of our long-time druid healers vanished, and the rest was history.
The main reason I intended to quit was I figured I wouldn’t be able to keep up with graduate school and raiding. However, I learned how to make an amazing amount of gold from Inscription from the Greedy Goblin and now raiding takes up less of my time because I don’t have to worry about having money for flasks/gems/enchants/etc. It’s pretty nice.
